[ it sure has been a day. after trial, majima returns to the inn. he doesn't really spend much time dawdling around or hunting down other people to speak with them about... all of that.

when mizuki arrives, they'll find him sitting on the room's porch with the sliding door open, cigarette lit. either he doesn't hear them come in, or he's too distracted to acknowledge them if they don't say anything first. ]

[ the fingers rubbing their neck suddenly clamp down on their skin, though he doesn't pinch hard enough to leave a mark. he's remembering to be careful! ]

"Seein' how much a pinch of Mizuki-san is gonna get me" is lookin' like a pretty good startin' point.

[ on second thought, they should have seen that coming. With a flinch and a short exclamation of "ouch," they push themself up off of him (provided he lets them go, anyway), leaving their hands on his shoulders. ]

Hang on -- I wasn't flirting, I was being serious, I swear! I can manage it once in a while!

C'mon, save the seriousness for trial time.

[ he chuckles again, letting them go easily enough, though he then rests his hands over theirs just as comfortably. he tilts his head back just enough to meet their eyes with his one... it's weird, being the "shorter" one right now. ]

We can move so ya don't end up sprainin' your back, ya know.

Hah. I think my back will be fine. I'm not that old yet.

[ they can't tell if he's honestly thinking that much about their comfort or trying to angle them to sit on his lap... probably a bit of both. Either way, they're slippery, as usual; they give his shoulders a playful squeeze before pulling away completely, circling around to lean against the porch bannister and face him more properly. ]

On the other hand, my arms are definitely going to be sore for a while. I can't believe someone snuck in and did that... We really don't wake up.

[ EXCUSE YOU, HE IS THINKING ABOUT THEIR COMFORT... a point which is only reinforced further when they mention their wounds, and a heavy, troubled frown settles upon his face. ]

What gets me is how the fucker had the goddamn audacity to slash ya up while I was holdin' you the whole night... no offense, but physically speakin', I think we can both agree I'm more of a threat. So why'd they decide to target you instead?

I'm more upset about the fact they saw me like that. That's unbelievably embarrassing...

[ sleeping!! naked!! they're not looking even mildly embarrassed, but like, maybe in their heart?! They're upset about the infringement on their privacy more than anything. ]

Anyway, I'm more suspicious than you are, Goro-kun, even with your eyepatch and your tattoo.
