[ in the afternoon on thursday, majima has invited madoka along to explore the west wing marketplace. the idyllic atmosphere of the area is almost enough to make him forget what they've spent the last month and change here doing.

... he's fine with that, if it'll allow him a little more time with the people he's come to care about, despite everything. ]

It feels like it lasted an eternity. I almost can't imagine it ending.

Are ya switchin' to Piety-han at the end of this week, too?

[ Madoka looks them over, but doesn't seem to be paying that much attention to them because she's busy enjoying this quality time! She looks up at Majima. ]

Is that the latest plan? I thought it was Ambition, now...

[ she sounds a little bit weirdly unconcerned with being aligned with the right god to?? win the contest? but that's fine, that was never that important to her. ]

But if that's what everyone's settled on, then I can do that.

[ there are a couple of ribbons in his hands as he looks over at madoka, surprised. she sounds so... lackadaisical about things... huh. ]

... Uh, have ya talked to Senri-kun lately?

Um, last weekend, when he asked me to switch back to Sincerity. But that's all he told me.

I know that the plan was Piety, but then it sounded like he wasn't sure if everyone would go along with that, anymore...

I know that this is gonna sound petty as hell, but we ain't exactly fans of the idea of Ambition-han's followers gettin' their wishes granted.

... I don't think I can agree with that. I don't think that the bad things people have done here are enough to take away something as grand as what their wishes may be.

[ ... god, she's too good. even so, majima doesn't seem to be swayed. ]

Sorry, but people who make the choice to murder kids in cold blood don't deserve nice things.

I... Don't like that they would do that, and it's true that they took away other people's wishes... But everyone who got hurt does come back. And this contest was designed by the gods - it's not like those people chose the set up.

And most importantly, I want to believe that their wishes were for good things. For things that would benefit more people than just themselves, and that's why they would go to such extremes.

Ya trust people too easily, Madoka-chan. Even if it's a special situation like this... ya still gotta make the conscious decision to end someone's life. Once ya make that choice, you're changed as a person, an' ya can't ever take it back.
