Guess he's just that much of a masochist? He doesn't seem to have trouble with girls when they hit him, so maybe that's the only way he'll ever be able to handle gettin' touched by one.
I say it's fair when we know the dead are still watchin' us from wherever they're hangin' out this game. Who knows, maybe you'll get a phantom invite to throw down in the afterlife this week.
